Dan ""Canoe" Landing is a character in Birdland. He is a camp counsellor, specifically the canoeing instructor.
Personality
Dan is somewhat aloof and mysterious. He is often vague, and talks about topics that confuse the other campers. Such as respecting inanimate objects.
Dan takes the dangers of canoeing very seriously – possibly too seriously. He lectures the campers about respecting their paddles and makes them practice their canoeing strokes on land before getting in a boat. This is somewhat due to his own lack of practical experience in a canoe.
Character Biography
After he is taken over by the birds on July 15, he interrogates the campers about the purpose of canoes and canoeing. Then he lets them actually go out in the canoes and observes as Bridget tips over and gets in a splash fight with Bell.
At the Summer Camp Olympics, Dan loses the canoeing race. He has no practical experience paddling a canoe, and when Alisha Sail tells him to imitate what he's seen the campers do, he splashes water at her and flips the canoe.
